Mallorca’s major industry is, of course, tourism but thankfully, the island does not solely depend upon this one source of income. Over the years, Mallorca has become increasingly famous world-wide for wines and owners of Mallorca villas or fincas for sale have long discovered the superb quality and know that wine also forms a great part of Mallorca’s traditions and history.

The most famous wine producers are Macía Batle in Santa Maria del Camí and José Ferrer in Binissalem. Another well-known wine area is the region of Felanitx, where the vineyard Armero i Adroverproduces one of the finest white wines on the island.

The concentration of wine producers is to be found in the island centre, in and around Santa Maria and immediate neighbouring hamlets spreading more over the eastern part called Es Pla.

Here in Pollensa we are quite proud to have our own wine producers, the bodegas Ca’n Vidalet and Xaloc delight connoisseurs of a good wine and have also gradually increased their fame beyond the borders of the municipality.
